Live Chat

Open live chat directly from the sportsbook page. An agent can explain any NHL line — moneyline, puck line or prop — without you leaving the odds board.

Account Help Center

Our Help Center has a dedicated NHL betting section covering how lines are set, when props go live, and what happens to your bet if a game is postponed.

In-Board Glossary

Tap any market label on the board — '+1.5', 'PK', 'Alt Total' — and a short tooltip pops up with a plain-language explanation of what that market means.

HOW WE RUN IT

How teke5 Manages the NHL Odds Board

A fair, readable odds board is built on sourcing and process. Here's what sits behind the numbers you see.

Market Sourcing

NHL lines are sourced from a regulated odds feed that tracks sharp market movement. We do not set odds in-house — they reflect the live betting market.

Line Update Cadence

The board refreshes continuously from the moment a game is posted until puck drop. A timestamp on the board confirms when each line was last updated.

Prop Market Availability

Player props go live once official NHL rosters and confirmed starting goaltenders are posted. We flag any prop suspended pending lineup news.

State Eligibility

NHL betting through teke5 is available where state law permits. Your account dashboard confirms whether NHL wagering is active in your eligible state.

teke5 What the NHL Odds Board Shows You

What the NHL Odds Board Shows You

Every row on our NHL odds board maps to one scheduled game. Three columns do the work: the moneyline shows which team the market favors and at what price, the puck line gives you a 1.5-goal spread with adjusted odds, and the total is the over/under on combined goals. Below those headline markets, you'll find period-by-period lines and player props — shots

on goal, points, and goalscorer markets that sharpen up as puck drop approaches. Lines update in real time as the market moves, and anything highlighted in orange has shifted since the board last refreshed. Check the timestamp at the top right of the board before locking in your selection.

NHL Betting Terms Every Player Should Know

Six terms that come up constantly on the NHL odds board — defined plainly so you know exactly what you're looking at.

What is the puck line in NHL betting?

The puck line is hockey's version of a point spread, set at 1.5 goals. The favorite gives 1.5 goals; the underdog receives 1.5 goals, with odds adjusted accordingly.

What does the moneyline mean on an NHL board?

The moneyline is a straight win/loss market — no spread. Negative numbers show how much you risk to profit $100; positive numbers show profit on a $100 wager.

What is the game total (over/under) in NHL?

The game total is the posted number of combined goals both teams are expected to score. You wager on whether actual combined goals finish over or under that number.

What is a period line in NHL wagering?

A period line covers only one of the three regulation periods — its own moneyline, spread and total — independent of the final game result. Overtime goals do not count.

What are NHL player props?

Player props are individual performance markets: shots on goal, points, power-play assists or anytime goalscorer. They are priced separately from the main game lines.

What does 'PK' mean on the NHL odds board?

PK stands for pick'em — neither team is favored on the puck line. Both sides carry roughly even odds, and no goals are spotted to either team.

Common Questions About the NHL Odds Board

Real questions we get from players checking lines before a game — answered straight.

We post game lines as soon as the NHL schedule is official, often days before puck drop. Props go live closer to game time once rosters and starting goalies are confirmed.

Yes. Expand any game on the odds board and you'll find alternate puck lines at 2.5 or 0.5 goals and alternate totals above and below the main number, each with adjusted pricing.

We display American odds by default — the format US sportsbooks use. Negative numbers mean a favorite; positive numbers mean an underdog. You can switch to decimal in account settings.

Postponed NHL games are voided on our board. The wager amount returns to your account balance. Check the Help Center for details on how rescheduled games are handled.

Live NHL lines open at puck drop and update period by period. The board shows a live badge next to each active game, with moneylines and totals refreshing as play progresses.
